Home Information Pack (HIP) changes

As from 6th April 2009, there have been two changes to HIPs:

• Introduction of Property Information Questionnaire (PIQ)
• The removal of the temporary first day marketing exemption, now part of the HIP must be in place before the property can be marketed:
• The Index
• Title Documents
• Sale Statement
• EPCs

Home Information Packs (HIPs) are now mandatory for all properties being put on the
market. Home sellers have to produce a HIP for prospective buyers when they put their property
on the market. Getting the right advice and the proper support is essential to the smooth running
